Huawei was holding a conference in China and formalized a brand new compact tablet, the Mediapad M2 7.0.
In fact, it is the 3 e Mediapad M2 to point the tip of the slab after a 8.0 Mediapad M2 launched almost simultaneously with the P8 in 2015, and the recent Mediapad M2 10.0who left us a good memory. If the Mediapad M2 7.0 wants to be compact with its 7-inch screen (diagonal 17.8 cm), it does not forget to embark on the paper, solid characteristics. Its screen is adorned with a slab IPS a little more than Full HD with a definition of 1920 x 1200 px, under which we find a mobile chip, not a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin as is the custom for some time, but a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octocore with four heart clocked at 1.5 GHz and four at 1 GHz, all in ARM Cortex-A53. A 3 GB RAM is part and storage capacity is available in 16 and 32 GB, expandable by adding a microSD card.

The slot of the device hosts a fingerprint reader, while a photo module with 13 Mpx sensor is attached to the back and another 5 Mpx takes place on the front. A battery of 4,360 mAh supplies everything and, in light of Huaweidans efforts in the field of optimization and endurance tablets and smartphones, the Mediapad M2 7.0 could offer a more than adequate autonomy in the field. Note, the embedded operating system is Android 5.1 Lollipop and the usual Huawei interface for its mobile products, Emotion UI. Too bad that like the Mediapad M2 10.0, the 7-inch version does not offer an Android 6.0 Marshmallow base, which is found on the latest releases of the smartphone brand.
Only availability for China is known to date, with a scheduled release on May 11 at rates that, reported in euros, respectively give about € 215 and € 240 for 16 and 32 GB models. If the Mediapad arrives in France , these prices should rather be between 250 and 300 €, given the frequent price differentials that occur between the Chinese ads and French releases. Huawei France, moreover, can not yet give us more information on the actual arrival of the product on our soil.
